A skilled and adaptable workforce is essential to New Haven’s economic competitiveness. Employers across healthcare, life sciences, technology, manufacturing, hospitality, education, and professional services rely on a strong network of workforce partners to recruit talent, train workers, and build career pathways into high-demand occupations.

Workforce Alliance is the regional workforce development board for South Central Connecticut and operates the American Job Center network serving Greater New Haven. It works with employers, training providers, municipalities, educational institutions, and community organizations to connect residents with jobs and training while helping businesses meet hiring and skill needs.

Services for job seekers include career counseling, job-search assistance, skills training, sector-based career programs, workshops, and referrals to employers. Business services include recruiting assistance, job postings, candidate referrals, hiring events, customized training, and support for incumbent-worker development.
